SUPPORT CIRCLES & EXPERIENCES
Rest & Revive (Meditation) Take 20 minutes to get back to the foundation of your true inner strength by experiencing the benefit of a deeper resting state. Even when we sleep many of us don't truly rest. With this guided meditation, we learn how to allow our minds to finally drop into the theta brain wave state - the subconscious state, the place of dreams- while still awake. This ancient practice of Yoga Nidra is the origin of Hypnotherapy and current methods of personal growth and quantum healing. Join lifelong meditator, yoga practitioner, healer, teacher, intuitive guide and artist, Vanessa for this easy way to experience more of who you truly are. |

Loved Ones of the Incarcerated We understand that having a loved one in jail or prison is hard on multiple levels. Incarceration impacts many people in addition to the incarcerated person - whether you are a parent, child, sibling, relative, partner or friend. Golden Rule ReEntry is offering the opportunity for people with loved ones who are incarcerated to come together to share their concerns, find support, learn about resources and what to expect when their loved one is released so that everyone has a better outcome. This will be an unstructured drop-in support group - offered 2ce a month via Zoom until further notice. This group is led by Ronda Miller-Tate and Susan Krant. Please Drop In // No Registration Necessary If you would like more information about this circle, please CONTACT US. |
Strength Through Adversity
This circle is for anyone who has experienced trauma leading up to, during or because of incarceration. Did you have a difficult childhood with toxic parents or exposure to violence? Did you fall in with the wrong crowd? Did you experience or witness traumatic events while incarcerated? Have you struggled with overwhelm or rejection since your release? You are not alone. Led by Dr. Jim Stumbo, this unstructured process group is here to offer you sanctuary and kinship with others who will listen without judgement. Please Drop In // No Registration Necessary If you would like more information about this circle, please CONTACT US. |

Grief and Incarceration
Being locked up for a long period of time can be devastating. Despite the new found freedom upon release there may still be unresolved grief for the loved ones who passed while we were inside. We may also grieve the loss of time with children, missing important moments with family, lost relationships and the time we could have spent building our own lives. These are very real losses and will be honored, witnessed and healed in our Grief and Incarceration support group, led by Christine Hunter-Robertson from WinterSpring.org.

Nutrition For Life: Back to the Basics. The world of nutrition can be very complicated. New diets are popping up regularly and it can be easy to become confused by all the information that's thrown at us. This can be especially true after having all our meals provided by the institutions that incarcerated us. We did not have any or much control or choice about the meals we were served. Now we do! This class will take us back to some of the basics, focusing on food as fuel for our bodies and we can construct balanced meals that will help us live a healthy, happy and energized life. In this class you will learn:
* How to balance blood sugar
* Understanding the macronutrients
*The importance of fat in the diet
* Meal planning
* How to make a basic shopping list
Leave this class with a nutrition guide and a shopping list template.

Golden Rule ReEntry is committed to being antiracist and understanding how implicit bias, racist policies and unexamined white privilege has led to disproportionate numbers of non-white people being incarcerated.
We stand committed to BIPOC advancement and leadership.
Golden Rule ReEntry is based in Southern Oregon and acknowledges that we are operating on the unceded land of the Shasta, Takelma, and many other recognized and unrecognized tribes who have had living relationships with the Southern Oregon region from "time out of mind" to now. We remain committed to dismantling the systems of oppression that have dispossessed Indigenous people of their lands and denied their rights to self-determination.
